I Was Exactly Where You Are
When I was eleven, I sat in front of a mirror and made a decision. I was going to be an equine osteopath. I didn't come from money or a "horsey" background. I self-funded my studies by working five jobs at once, fuelled by grim determination and the belief that if I just worked harder than everyone else, I'd eventually be free.
A decade later, I'd "made it." My diary was packed. To the outside world, I was a successful professional. But the truth? I was a busy fool. Fourteen-hour days, paper-thin confidence, and a constant sense that I was running but never actually getting anywhere. I was successful enough to be exhausted, but not successful enough to be free.
Then everything came to a head. My long-term relationship fell apart, and I found myself standing in the wreckage of my personal life looking at a business that was sucking the soul out of me. I realised that despite all the "hard work," I was still stuck in the same patterns.
The turning point came when I stopped chasing more qualifications and started working on my mindset. I began working with mentors who had actually walked the path. I had to face the self-doubt that kept me small, the imposter syndrome that told me I wasn't ready, and the belief that I had to suffer to be successful.
That is when I discovered something that changed everything. Clinical skill is only 20% of what it takes to build a thriving practice. The other 80% is what I now call The Elevate Framework.
Today, I run my equine osteopathy business three days a week, earning five figures a month, managed from the phone in my pocket. My evenings and weekends are spent with my husband and daughter, not checking emails in a stable at 9 PM. And alongside that, Steve and I have built Equigate, a six-figure tech company helping hundreds of practitioners who were once as stuck as I was.
I'm here to give you permission to stop being a martyr for your business. You don't have to choose between being a world-class practitioner and being a present mother, partner, or friend. You just need the right framework.
